Ok, according to Bethel Nathan – San Diego Officiant extraordinaire, whom I’m friends with on Facebook – there shouldn’t be a need to re-do the ceremony. We were married by a legal officiant with a valid license, so the County Clerk just needs to reissue it. Then we need to send the license to our original officiant to sign, and she can fill in the witness info also without the witnesses having to sign it again.
This news will make Rogue Groom feel a whole lot better, because he was willing to choke someone.
But personally, if that all goes pear-shaped, then I’d be extremely entertained by doing an outlandish elopement. I’m thinking drive-thru Vegas, or maybe a mountain cabin, or a flash mob elopement at Disneyland or a count Fair. Or a renaissance fair… or a pirate fair… or get married by a captain on a boat.
Either way, I’d totally wear my dress again.

Oh my goodness, what a circus! But a wild elopement would the perfect way to re-do!
I’ll be in Vegas early Sept!
Just sayin’ !
And you know I would *totally* meet you two somewhere and help you do something wacky to make it legal too!! If you actually had to…
P.S. Thank you! You rock! xo
